A spotlight on our products themselves
Details on our products
We transform bottles into candles and dispensers, and turn barrels into home bars, wine racks, tables and more!
Yes! We can add text and some graphics to all our products. All you have to do is ask before placing your order. When we have more information on what you’d like, we’ll be able to give you a quote, as well as the time needed to create your very special order.
We have to admit, some of our materials do come from personal use, mainly big parties such as 30th birthdays, Christmas and so on.
We also partner with local bars, wine barrel distributers, friends and family where we collect from on a regular basis.
If we may say so ourselves, 100% YES! Our business was founded because our handmade gifts for friends and family were so successful.
Most home decor available today is mass-produced with new, cheap and often plastic materials that are quick and cost effective. They’re often found in neutral colours that fit any home. But not ours! We strive to make colourful, fun and slow-made, small-batch decor that is predominantly made from upcycled materials.
Your dispenser can be used with any liquids but we recommend using household items such as washing up liquid or hand soap.
You’re free to add coloured soap to your dispenser, in fact, we encourage it if you’re looking to add extra pizzazz! Just be mindful that if the glass is coloured, the soap may not be exactly the same colour as in its original packaging.
They sit perfectly next to your sink, whether that be in your kitchen or bathroom. They may also be used in the shower or bathroom, but please make sure they’re somewhere where they’re unlikely to slip and fall!
First of all, please don’t put me in the dishwasher!!
Every label is given an additional waterproof coating so that you can wipe the bottle without worrying about damaging the labels. We don’t recommend using harsh cleaning products though, as this may take away the special coating. Please also make sure you only use cold or lukewarm water!
Even though we’ve taken extra care to make our soap dispensers rust-free, it can happen now and again (mainly when unused). We suggest using baking soda or white vinegar to help solve this problem. How often you need to use this depends on how often you leave your soap dispenser without being used.
Our barrel furniture are usually handcrafted with a rustic look in mind, so there is very minimal work for you to look after it once it’s in your home. Having said that, if they’re placed in a sunny spot or where they’re exposed to rain, you may need to re-varnish the wood every few years. But don’t worry, just get in touch and we’ll give you a step-by-step guide or arrange to come do it for you!

Sustainability
Upcycled decor is home furnishings created by repurposing and transforming waste materials into new, beautiful pieces. The goal of upcycling is to give new life to items that would otherwise go to landfill or be recycled into a lower value item.
A circular economy is an economic model and system that aims to minimise waste and the continual use of resources. In a circular economy, the emphasis is on maximising the use, value, and lifespan of products, materials, and resources. You can find out more on our page dedicated to the circular economy.
Our co-founder, Sophie, has a degree in Environmental Science and spent five years helping airlines implement sustainability initiatives such as supply chain transparency. She’s now decided to literally practice what she preached, and launched the business with an eco-friendly DNA from the get go.
We are an inclusive business that takes our social responsibility very seriously. We source all our materials and suppliers locally wherever possible, and are particularly focused on helping those within the chronic illness community which you can read more about here. If you have any specific questions related to this, we are more than happy to answer them.
Our co-founder, Sophie, was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome in 2019 and shortly after suffered years battling chronic pain and lots of sick leave from her job in aviation. It became impossible to work full time so Sophie decided to start an inclusive business that gives her the flexibility to work around her health. Since a big reconstructive hip surgery in 2022, Sophie’s health has improved massively, and she now wants to give back to the community and raise awareness of her under-diagnosed and mis-informed illness. Drunk on Decor® is donating 5% of annual profits to the Ehlers Danlos Society in line with Sophie’s vision.
