The majority of them are also small businesses, so it’s not as easy as checking their website for credentials and sustainability reports. Instead, we have open and honest conversations with them so they understand why we’re asking, and how we can work together sustainably.
Some of the hot topics we talk about are:
- Where raw materials are sourced
- Product quality and whether they meet relevant standards
- Environmental sustainability of their offices and production facilities
- Labour practices in place
